"Queen" Kylie McIntosh

My name is Kylie McIntosh and I am a 17 year old senior at Boerne High School. I am currently the Boerne FFA chapter Vice President and the Kendall County 4H President, I enjoy competing in public speaking events and being involved in Range, Wool, and Mohair judging. I love to be involved with the community as well whether I am helping out at the Women’s Shelter or helping out at the Daily Bread. Being honored with holding the title Kendall County Fair Princess has been a dream of mine since I was very young looking up to my older friends and wanting to follow in their footsteps. Upon graduation I plan on attending Texas Tech University and majoring in Agriculture Education in the hopes of becoming an Ag Teacher.

More Pictures from their year

October 2015

Time at Joshua Creek Ranch kicked off the month of October on the 1st. The Boerne Chamber of Commerce held the "Wild Game Dinner" Kickoff Party. October 15th was an especially busy day for the girls. They started at the GVTC Chamber Mixer and then headed over to the Kendall County Fair Grounds for the Association's Annual Membership Meeting. The girls were introduced to our general membership and let the Pledge of Allegiance. The girls took turns giving us a run down of the events they've attended so far this year and how good the food was at the GVTC Chamber Mixer!

September 2015

During the first month of the 2015-2016 Queen's Court reign, the girls have attended several parades and chamber mixers. They started out with the Medina County Fair parade in Hondo on the 19th. There next stop was at Boerne Performing Arts for a Boerne Chamber of Commerce Mixer on Sept 24. Then they were off to the Comal County Fair parade on Sept 25th.

110th Kendall County Fair Weekend

Directly after being crowned, our new court is off on their year long journey! Friday morning they begin with shopping for the fall wardrobe. Billy's Western wear is a long time sponsor of the Queen's Court and always makes sure to have everything these girls need! After spending the better part of the day shopping, it's time for the girls to head to their first ever event - The Kendall County Fair! Friday evening they were introduced for the first time in the rodeo arena while riding the Ford Truck provided by Jenning's Anderson Ford. They also took pictures with the winner's of the Friday night Mutton Bustin and calf scramble.
Saturday, they began with the Kendall County Fair Parade in downtown Boerne for their first ride on the Queen's Float. They mingled with other floats and paraded down Main Street while waving to the spectators there to watch the great floats. After the parade, they are back at the fair grounds for some time with the Rockin' BBQ Cook-Off Contestants tasting the great BBQ. They took pictures with the winner's during the awards ceremony later in the day - check out our BBQ page to see those. While at the parade, the livestock show kicked off. The girls made it back for some wonderful photos with our goat and lamb winners. Then they headed to the carnival for some great fun on the rides. Next on the agenda was back to the rodeo arena for another ride on the Ford, some more Muttin Bustin and calf scramble awards. Last for the evening was some time under the Pavilion for the musical entertainment. You will also notice in the pictures below our Little Miss Runner Up, Brianna Marie Garza, blessed us with singing the National Anthem this year!
Sunday the girls started in the Livestock Show. The very first poultry winners ever at the Kendall County Fair were proudly pictured with our newly crowned court. They also took pictures with the winning heifers and steers. They spent some time browsing the vendors and at the petting zoo!! Just look at the smiles on their faces as they hold those cute little animals! Sunday afternoon, the Apple Pie contest was in full motion. They tasted some great Apple Pies and then had a photo op with the winners. Sunday as we start nearing the end of this year's Fair and Rodeo, the girls headed back to the arena for the Bull Blowout for a last ride on the Ford truck, some more Muttin Bustin and the calf scramble. As this year's fair came to a close, they spent the last few hours under the Pavilion listening to Cameron Nelson as he closed out our Fair.

Queen's Pageant - Sept 3, 2015

Sept 3rd was an exciting day for all of our contestants. They all put their heart and sole into being absolutely amazing Contestants. Each one of them was truly meant for this role. It was a tough competition. These girls all donate time to many, many charitable events and organizations. They take part in multiple extracurricular activities while managing their school careers. We are truly honored to have each one of them interested in being a part of our court. The pageant was decorated beautifully with the help of some amazing volunteers.

Queen's Pageant Rehearsal - August 29, 2015
