Conditions for Entry:
Sign up at online at www.KCFA.org starting Friday, August 8, 2022.
20 contestants and 2 alternates will be selected to fill entries for each rodeo performance- 3 (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday).
A child must weigh no more than 60 pounds.
Parents or guardians must complete and sign a release and acknowledgment of rules/code of conduct form provided by Kendall County Fair Association. Parents and contestants must abide by the rules/code of conduct, or your child will not ride. The Mutton Busting Committee has the right to not permit a child to ride. If you have a question, ask at sign up.
Bring completed release and rules/code of conduct form at 6:30pm. on the date of child’s entry to the “KC Corner” table on rodeo grounds near the rodeo grandstands on the day the child is scheduled to ride.
All of those accompanying the child must have a rodeo ticket for entry.
$35 Entry Fee will be collected at the rodeo.
Protective gear provided by Kendall County Fair Association (vest and helmet) must be worn by all participants; NO SPURS ALLOWED!
The child must wear pants and closed toed shoes.
Rodeo clowns will judge and score each contestant. THE JUDGE’S DECISION WILL BE FINAL.
Awards will be given the night of the Rodeo. The top scoring Mutton Busting contestant of the night will receive an award.
Parents are prohibited from accompanying children in the arena. They will be in the good hands of members of the Kendall County Fair Association Rodeo Committee.
During Mutton Busting Parents are encouraged to go to their seats and cheer for their children.
The photographer will be in the arena during mutton busting and will try to get a photo of each rider but it is not guaranteed. The photographer's information will be given to each contestant to be able to order photos.
