Director Candidate Information

Applications for director are accepted throughout the fiscal calendar year. Applications will not be held over. A new application for director must be submitted for each fiscal calendar year. Consideration will be given to all director candidate's who show a sincere desire to promote and improve the Kendall County Fair Association, Inc. and the Kendall County Fair. A director (he or she) shall be elected by the current board at any regular scheduled monthly meeting during the year by a two-thirds majority vote of the current directors if any vacancy exist or occurs. The appointee(he or she) will serve the unexpired term of the vacancy. Seven Directors (he and she) are elected in October by the members during the Annual General Membership Meeting. Current directors (he or she) serving their expired term are asked by the Nominating Committee if they want to seek directorship for another three year term and if so their name is added to the voting ballot along with any other director candidate the nominating committee has recruited. ARTICLE IV-DIRECTORS AND MEETINGS Section I a.) Any Director (he or she) who resigns during their elected term must wait for a minimum of one (1) year and cannot be re-elected by General Membership or during any Director Meeting for a minimum of one (1) year. b.) Any Director (he or she) who is dismissed for any Violation or Reason by the Board of Directors cannot be re-elected as a Director during the Annual Membership Meeting and/or during any Directors Meeting (s). Dismissed director (he or she) cannot be accepted or voted as a Drover by the Board of Directors
The following rules shall apply: (He or She Candidate's)
1. Must be 18 years plus in age and a properly registered association member.
2. Must be a properly registered and qualified association member for (30) days prior to the annual meeting and must undergo a background check. of the association for one year.
3. Director candidate(s) (he or she) must complete an Application For Board Of Directors.
4. Director candidate(s)(he or she) must compete the Application For Board Of Directors one week prior to the annual meeting for name listed on the voting ballot by the nominating committee. If applicant has completed an application during the fiscal calendar year and applicant (he or she) was not elected to the board prior to the annual meeting (he or she) will be contacted by the nomination committee to added to the ballot.
5. Directors (he or she) elected during the annual meeting will elected to serve a three (3) year term.
