Mutton is definitely a crowd favorite every year at our rodeo. Kids 50lbs and under Cowboy Up and hold on tight to a sheep as the chute opens. Due to the extreme amount of kids who would like to participate each year, riders are being chosen by a lottery draw. We will open registration up for 1 hour Saturday, August 24th at 5pm. At 7pm every child name who registered will be put into the lottery wheel. 20 riders and 2 alternates for each night ( Friday, Saturday and Sunday) will be pulled and notified. You are invited to watch the lottery drawing live on the Kendall County Fair Association Facebook page, but it is not necessary. Names will be posted on the Kendall County Fair Association website (www.kcfa.org); however, entry is not final until the information has been confirmed for eligibility.

A child must weigh no more than 50 pounds and will be weighed in at check-in at rodeo grounds. If your child weighs 51 pounds or more, your child will not be eligible to ride.

Parents or guardians must complete and sign a release and acknowledgment of rules/code of conduct form provided by Kendall County Fair Association. Parents and contestants must abide by the rules/code of conduct, or your child will not ride. The Mutton Bustin' Committee has the right to not permit a child to ride. If you have a question, ask at sign up.
