Updates & Upgrades

The year round upkeep and maintenance of such a large facility like our Kendall County Fairgrounds is quite a task. Between three large halls, multiple offices and meeting rooms, a rodeo arena, horsebarns, and a pavillion and vendor area, not to mention roads and massive amounts of outside grounds upkeep, the directors and dedicated volunteers that assist them have thier hands full. Each month we have a scheduled workday to try and accomplish some of our larger projects. below is some of the things we have been doing in 2017!

January 2017: We deep cleaned the meeting rooms, inventoried and accessed our tables and chairs. Removed the old carpet and padding from the stage in the Large Hall and started prepping for new flooring.

February 2017: We work in the large hall. We painted the walls on the stage, poles, and back walls. We added trim to the stage. We installed new carpet and pad on the stage and of course cleaned, cleaned, cleaned!

March 2017: We spent Saturday morning, March 18 setting up for the Community Garage Sale. More set up needs to be done. This year we will occupy all three hall with vendors selling their treasures.

Saturday afternoon was devoted to bring new life to our float! Look for the Court in April on the parade tour!!
